It is with incredibly heavy hearts and a deep sense of loss that Irish Rule of Law International (IRLI) announces the death of our Executive Director, James Douglas.

James was not only a colleague and leader but a friend to each of us within IRLI. He was a genuinely kind and caring soul whose passion for social justice and fairness, matched with a keen intellect, marked all his professional endeavours.

Our sincere and heartfelt condolences to his family and to his many friends in Ireland and abroad.

May he rest in peace.
