Irish barrister and international judge Fergal Gaynor on "truth" as "the essence of justice"

In the first episode of our new podcast Horsehair Wigs, we talk to Irish barrister and international judge Fergal Gaynor, who has worked for the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia and has represented victims before the International Criminal Court. Fergal is currently the Reserve Chief Prosecutor at the Khmer Rouge Tribunal.

In this episode, spotlighting Fergal Gaynor, we speak to him about his voluminous and varied work in international criminal justice and how he felt having missed out on the job as chief prosecutor of the International Criminal Court. Fergal has investigated crimes in Syria and Myanmar and is currently the Reserve Chief Prosecutor at the Extraordinary Chambers in the Courts of Cambodia and sits as a judge at the Kosovo Specialist Chambers.
